HEDEMANN, Justus Wilhelm
Bunte Bilder aus der Rechtswelt
Berlin, J. Guttentag, 1917
small 8vo, original wrappers, 127 pp.; good copy, pages 100 to 107 loose
Rare WW I publication by the conservative jurist Justus Wilhelm Hedemann for German soldiers at war studying or practicing law. Besides offering judicial case-studies the book is a strange mix of words of encouragement, imperialist notions and metaphysical imagery. Hedemann later strongly opposed the democracy of the Weimar Republic and became a fierce promoter of Nazism.
