Mille Septante Books takes its name from the postcode of the municipality of Anderlecht where we are located, 1070. ‘Septante’ is the Franco-Belgian word for 70, as opposed to the French ‘soixante-dix’.
We are general antiquarian booksellers and deal in items related to Belgian heritage, music, literature, history, poetry, philosophy, art, children’s books and more. Antiquarian and rare books, ephemera and archives. Living in the heart of Europe and being multilingual, we are acquainted with the main tendencies in French, Dutch, German and English literature.
In 2021 we established Mille Septante Books online store and are open by appointment.
Stefan Huber
Stefan is an art historian and musician. After graduating from the University of Louvain, he combined his musicianship with working in contemporary art museums and galleries during most of the 2000’s. In 2015 he caught the book bug in earnest and hasn’t found a cure. He gained experience working as an assistant of Ghent bookseller Roland Dheene and dealing with established booksellers in Brussels. After establishing a certain stock of his own, Stefan felt confident about launching Mille Septante Books in 2021. Stefan’s job is acquiring and describing books, plus the general administration of the bookstore.
